49 ~ Lemon Tree - Peter, Paul & Mary

When I was just a lad of ten, my father said to me,

"Come here and take a lesson

from the lovely lemon tree."

"Don't put your faith in love, my boy,"

my father said to me,

"I fear you'll find that love is

like the lovely lemon tree."

Chorus:
Lemon tree, very pretty,

and the lemon flower is sweet,
But the fruit of the lemon is impossible to eat.
Lemon tree, very pretty,

and the lemon flower is sweet,
But the fruit of the lemon is impossible to eat.

One day beneath the lemon tree,
my love and I did lie,
A girl so sweet that when she smiled,

the stars rose in the sky.
We passed that summer lost in love,

beneath the lemon tree,
The music of her laughter

hid my father's words from me.

Chorus
Lemon tree, very pretty,
and the lemon flower is sweet,
But the fruit of the lemon is impossible to eat.
Lemon tree, very pretty,

and the lemon flower is sweet,
But the fruit of the lemon is impossible to eat.

One day she left without a word,
she took away the sun.
And in the dark she left behind,

I knew what she had done.
She left me for another,

it's a common tale but true,
A sadder man, but wiser now,

I sing these words to you.

Chorus
Lemon tree, very pretty,
and the lemon flower is sweet,
But the fruit of the lemon is impossible to eat.
Lemon tree, very pretty,

and the lemon flower is sweet,
But the fruit of the lemon is impossible to eat.

Lemon Tree.............

Lemon Tree - The Everly Brothers
When I was just a lad of ten, my father said to me,
'Come here and learn a lesson from the lovely lemon tree.'
'Don't put your faith in love, my boy,' my father said to me,
'I fear you'll find that love is like the lovely lemon tree.'

Chorus:
Lemon tree, very pretty, and the lemon flower is sweet,
But the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat.
Lemon tree, very pretty, and the lemon flower is sweet,
But the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat.

Beneath the lemon tree one day, my love and I did lie,
A girl so sweet that when she smiled, the stars rose in the sky.
We passed that summer lost in love, beneath the lemon tree,
The music of her laughter hid my father's words from me.

Chorus

One day she left without a word, she took away the sun.
And in the dark she left behind, I knew what she had done.
She left me for another, it's a common tale but true,
A sadder man, but wiser now, I sing these words to you.

Chorus
Lemon tree, Lemon tree .......

48 ~ 忘不了的你 + Colours of the rainbow

忘不了的你 + Colours of the rainbow

I saw the colors of the rainbow
Up there against the distance sunglow
The air was soft and blue birds could hide
I wished that time was on my side
So I could ride that pretty rainbow
And fly across the western sky
So come with me and you'll see my friend
The colors of the rainbow's end

I always remember of how we used to meet
I heard sweet songs up above
The meadow was so green when I sat down to dream
That was the time when I found love

I saw the colors of the rainbow
Up there against the distance sunglow
One summer's days that rainbow came
To chase away the morning rain

I always remember of how we used to meet
I heard sweet songs up above

I saw the colors of the rainbow
Up there against the distance sunglow
One summer's day that rainbow came
To chase away the morning rain

I sat down to dream
And that was the time when I found love

46 ~ Seven Daffodils - Brothers Four

Seven Daffodils ~ Brothers Four

I may not have mansion, I haven't any land
Not even a paper dollar to crinkle in my hands
But I can show you morning on a thousand hills
And kiss you and give you seven daffodils

I do not have a fortune to buy you pretty things
But I can weave you moonbeams for necklaces and rings
And I can show you morning on a thousand hills
And kiss you and give you seven daffodils

Oh seven golden daffodils all shining in the sun
To light our way to evening when our day is done
And I will give music and a crust of bread
And a pillow of piny boughs to rest your head
A pillow of piny boughs to rest your head
